Unlike regular heros who are career monster-fighters, Saitama decides to be a hero for fun—and is gutted upon discovering he can defeat every enemy with just one punch! A zany comedy ensues as Saitama listlessly overpowers screwball villains and world-threatening monsters, reluctantly teams up with other heroes, gains a cyborg sidekick, and tries to find joy in life.
One-Punch Man both lampoons and provides depth to the "overpowered protagonist" and action superhero genre, and is an excellent adaptation of the source material. Bravo, Madhouse.
