PREMISE

Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School is an elite high school where all students' actions are graded and assigned points and monetary value, determining their standing in the school. This causes a cutthroat competition between all classes and grades. Classroom of the Elite follows the story of the worst-performing class, Class D, its flawed and duplicitous members, and main character Ayanokoji's mysterious prodigal past.

A good premise and decent intrigue, but neither the plot nor characters develop enough to excuse the show's slow pacing and low-budget animation.
