PREMISE

Humans terraformed and seeded planet Mars with cockroaches in the 21st century. After 500 years, the cockroaches evolved into giant, violent, humanoid bugs—and the space missions between planets created a new, uncurable virus threatening humanity's survival. Genetically modified astronauts, given superpowers by splicing their DNA with animals (e.g. the pistol shrimp), are tasked with taking back humanity's colony on Mars, and finding a cure to the space virus.
