PREMISE

In the hyper-scientific Academy City, govermnet factions discourage and control all notions of religious or magical powers that threaten their scientific society. The scientists are days from completing Edymion, a giant space elevator which doubles as a weapon of mass destruction against rival magical countries. Touma and Index get caught up in a manhunt for the singer Arisa, whose voice is somehow linked to Endymion—and must protect Arisa while uncovering the mystery of her powers.

It has gorgeous animation and familiar characters, but no real new lore, story, or character development. A pleasant but skippable entry to the series.
